Lara's Nightmare: Monsters can spawn behind you, kill you in two hits (their combos are three hits) and make no noise until they're attacking you. That last one falls into the same category of terrible as unskippable cutscenes and QTEs.The other stuff doesn't seem as bad. But it's outweighed by the nightmare scenario. If you pick up the DLC, do it when it's discounted so heavily they're literally paying you to get it.. Ok, so I love the Classic Lara outfits. The card system is trash and plain monetization of Single Player game. Manor and Zombie mode can count a DLC but the rest was cut out of the main game. Not a fan of passes and micro transactions in a PC game but as long as its optional and not cut out of the main title I don’t care as I do not need to buy it. I will never support that model. Here I recommend in a collectors edition on sale.. The season pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider is not good both in terms of quality and quantity. The single player content can be broken into three main sections:Baba Yaga is probably the best part in the DLC. Taking around 1.5 hours you’ll do standard exploration, climbing, combat, and puzzles just like the main game. You have to track down a powerful witch near the Soviet base. It’s a small slice of Tomb Raider and the quality is not a great; lip syncing is terrible and there are barely any cut scenes. And the story is weak and predictable. The new area is pretty cramped and not much fun to explore.Cold Darkness Awakened is all about avoiding frequently respawning zombies in the dark and cold, while Lara is awake. You have to solve some randomly generated puzzles in towers and also rescue prisoners, find weapons, and craft items. It’s thin on story but not a particularly good survival game either. The main NPC shares a voice with all the prisoners so they must be septuplets that need to be reunited. It takes less than one hour to complete and is not worth replaying.Blood Ties brings Lara back the Croft manor but it’s a fairly disappointing return. It’s a finicky treasure hunt for around 90 minutes. Think of a weak version of Gone Home, with its hidden routes, and you have it. You walk around and listen to recordings, inspect objects, enter codes, and just clumsily gad about. Lara’s goal is to find proof that she has owns the derelict manor. The funniest part of this DLC is that she needs a ladder to climb up a bookshelf wall, despite possessing the upper body strength to scale cliffs in the main game. The rest of the season pass is cosmetic stuff or expedition cards. Most of the outfits either look terrible or are impractical in the cold weather. In terms of quality and quantity, the whole season pass might be worth $5 but you’re better off playing something else.. After playing Tombe Raider. This feels absolutely horrible. The controls are clunky and the environment you move around in badly synced with your movement, so many simple bugs that were missing in the previous version. The crafting and weapons system is bloated full of unnecessary junk.Lara lost her personality and just sounds like a doll.I can't understand what happened between these last two.I completely recomend the previous Tomb Raider, but not this one.. While a tad overpriced in and of its own right, the DLC content offered here is far, far superior to that released for the first Tomb Raider reboot. Especially for those of us drawn to the decidedly "spookier" side of the Tomb Raider mythos. The highlight, hands-down, is the Baba Yaga "optional tomb", which is quite the epic mini-adventure in its own right. The story is very good (if a tad far-fetched!), and the difficulty levels of both the puzzles and final boss fight are certainly aimed at those older-school Croft fans who feel the new games are a tad on the dumb 'n' easy side (I'm not one of those people, but I know they exist, so I'm particularly recommending this to them). The Blood Ties mini-game also offers some rather excellent additional story content, while the zombie-shooting mayhem of "Cold Darkness Awakened" is sufficiently distracting for a spell. The other stuff - y'know, costumes, a co-op endurance mode, that kinda thing - is of little interest to me personally, but certainly adds to the overall value of the package. Of course, you now get all this content with the 20 Year Celebration edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider whether you like it or not, so this review mainly concerns those people who bought the base game before that time. My advice to these people? Definitely wait for a sale. Hell, you've waited THIS long...you can wait a bit longer, right? Half-price would be a very, very fair price for what's on offer here; less than that a downright bargain. A must-have, ultimately, for anyone who loved the main game; but don't expect more than ten hours of extra playtime, unless you're a particularly dedicated fan of survival and/or multiplayer modes. Verdict: 9.5/10.. All dlc are decent except 20 year celebration with is amazing . Definitely Worth's a buy adds a lot to the game and the outfits and weapons are really good
